Dont Look Now

Rating: Shrug.

This film is quite a technical achievement. Roeg has done a master job at interweaving his signs and symbols through time. I’m surprised by how much this rubs me the wrong way, but the conclusion made me squint my eyes in skepticism — the film just seemed so smug over itself. Not how all came full circle, just how that circle was celebrated. If that had just been toned down a bit, I might have really liked this movie.
