The Lawnmower Man

Rating: Evil.

This is supposedly The movie about virtual reality. Well I can tell you this movie has absolutely nothing to do with VR.

It also has nothing to do with telepathy, telekinesis, pyrokinesis, Flowers for Algernon, Stephen King’s novel of the same name, Christianity, revenge, the internet, or military-funded scientific progress.

More or less it is an excuse to have a guy go around special effecting people to death.

On every filmic art level, the technical craft is awful. I continued watching only out of morbid fascination.

I don’t think it’s good enough to even breed the misconception it doesn’t give enough of a shit to even realize it might be breeding.
