Film Micrœview #177: Ernest Saves Christmas (1988)

Rating: Shrug.

Felt a bit more slapdash this time around (this is a childhood favorite)… characters not really developed, or arcs pasted on… a lot of unnecessary parallel editing to the airport workers whose story doesn’t really progress. The original music is actually pretty great though. And the guy who plays Santa is the voice of the Sultan from Disney’s Aladdin. Jim Varney will always be a force to be reckoned with.
