Film Micrœview #220: John Wick (2014)

Rating: Shrug.

A striking blend of no-nonsense and complete nonsense.

The only thing that elevates this movie beyond the awfulness that is something like The Equalizer is its impressive fight choreography. All close range gunfighting, every cut logical, comical and intensely complex dance.

I think if I was half my age I might enjoy the Marilyn Manson score and stylized subtitles.

I’ve never seen Keanu so angry before.

Visits from two The Wire actors.
