Film Micrœview #248: The Army of Shadows (1969)

Rating: Good.

I’m surprised at how straightforward this film felt to me this time around. I remember being confused as hell the first time. This time the film felt almost amazingly economical in its structure and plotting. Everything for the two voice overs where characters wish they could go over some philosophical thought with the chief. Also the music reminds me of Being John Malkovich score. Love the dramatic camera work and special effects here and there.
