Film Micrœview #270: Christine (2016)

Rating: Shrug.

Admirable job subtly recreating the 70’s, and admirable acting in the lead role, but otherwise rather plain. I admit I forgot the summary of the film before walking in and thus passively de-spoilered it for myself, so it is impressive that the film seemed completely coherent and fine without the impending doom, too. Much less excited now to go back and watch Campos’s acclaimed After School, especially after the lame Q&A at Sundance.
