Film Micrœview #294: Down By Law (1986)

Great performances, writing, cinematography, and music.

In particular, the process of Zack, Jack, and Roberto becoming friends was delightful and authentic.

But I am wondering why this movie exists. It’s interesting that I am made to care for three pretty shitty people, and their shittiness is never addressed. What does that mean? Maybe wondering that is enough for this film, and that’s just what it is.
